Sales & Operations Planning Manager

In our international team, you’ll have the key responsibility to develop our company’s processes, create new ways of working, and maintain our business excellence across different verticals.

Responsibilities:
1.Lead the S&OP Process
- Develop and continuously improve the S&OP framework across the organization.
 - Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings to align demand, supply, and financial plans.
 - Ensure all relevant stakeholders (sales, marketing, operations, finance, etc.) are engaged and accountable.
 
2.Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Coordinate with sales to develop a consensus demand forecast.
 - Analyze historical sales data and market trends to improve forecast accuracy.
 - Track and report forecast accuracy and bias, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
 
3.Supply Planning & Inventory Management
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to balance supply capabilities with demand requirements.
 - Optimize inventory levels across the supply network to achieve target service levels and working capital goals.
 - Identify potential supply constraints and develop mitigation plans.
 
4.Cross-Functional Alignment
- Drive alignment between commercial, operational, and financial teams on short- and long-term plans.
 - Communicate plan updates, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.
 - Ensure decisions made in S&OP meetings are executed and tracked effectively.
 
5.Performance Management & Reporting
- Develop and maintain S&OP dashboards and KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, inventory turns).
 - Conduct variance analysis between plan and actual performance.
 - Provide management with insights and recommendations for improvement.
 
6.Process Improvement & Systems
- Lead initiatives to improve planning processes, tools, and systems (e.g., ERP, demand planning software).
 
- Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on S&OP principles and best practices.
 
Tasks and recurring activities: 
- Collect and consolidate demand forecasts from sales teams monthly.
 - Validate forecast assumptions and highlight risks/opportunities.
 - Run supply and capacity scenarios to assess feasibility of meeting demand.
 - Facilitate pre-S&OP and executive S&OP meetings with detailed presentations.
 - Update S&OP calendar, templates, and reports.
 - Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments.
 - Coordinate with finance to ensure the plan aligns with budget and revenue goals.
 - Support new product introductions and end-of-life planning from an S&OP perspective.
 - Track key metrics and issue monthly performance reports.
 - Drive root cause analysis for major plan deviations (demand surges, supply shortages, etc.)
 
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
 - 8+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, or S&OP-related roles.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 - Proficiency in planning software and data analysis tools
 - Knowledge with inventory management, projections, shortage / excess / obsolete management
 - Experience in multiple operational areas, i.e. purchasing, logistics, customer service, production
 - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
 - Leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams
 - Extremely organized, self-driven, ability to multi-task, very detailed oriented and able to handle complexity
 - Business English level communication skills
 - Strong understanding of operational processes
 - Excellent project management and communication skills
 - Ability to work across silos and build consensus
 - Analytical skills to review and interpret data
 - Swedish work permit is a must
 - Ability to comply with routines, integrated management systems and legal requirements
 - Experience in managing people, one person will report to this role.
 - Experience in manufacturing operations and international companies is preferred
 - Knowledge of ANAPLAN is a plus
