AP Accountant

About the job
We are looking for an AP Accountant with a combined focus on accounts payable and accounting. In this role, you will take primary responsibility for processing and reviewing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate financial data in the accounts payable ledger, as well as for accounting activities in the group’s subsidiaries. The role includes identifying, investigating, and resolving deviations, and contributing to monthly and annual closing activities. We are seeking someone who is interested in improving processes and routines as part of the daily work and who helps strengthen quality, efficiency, and control within finance. The position is based in Stockholm.
Responsibilities:
Process incoming vendor invoices
Approval flows
Matching of invoices vs purchase orders and related investigations
Send remittance advices and proof of payment
Other more administrative work within an accounting department or other ad-hoc tasks
Perform accounting activities for the group’s subsidiaries
Participate in monthly and annual closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals
Develop and improve the processes and routines within your daily work
Qualification and experience:
We believe that you have practical experience of accounts payable and education within finance and equivalent work experience. You have a good understanding in accounting and accounts payable, as well as work experience in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience from working in Microsoft Business Central, Exflow and Readsoft is a plus. In addition, it is a plus to have worked with purchase order flows.
