System Design Engineer, Energy Storage Systems
We develop and manufacture turnkey energy storage solutions, based on lithium-ion battery technology. Our goal is to engineer technology that both stores and optimizes energy as we shift towards more efficient energy usage and renewable energy sources on a global scale. You’ll have the opportunity to work with exceptional engineers, scientists, developers and more to pave the way for the next big leap in the energy industry through our battery energy storage and optimization systems.
Location: Polarium HQ in Stockholm and Solna
Position: Permanent, full-time
Responsibilities:
- System engineer for Energy Systems
- Batteries, 48-1500 VDC
- Power conversion, PCS and Inverters
- Simulation models
- Controllers
- Grid connection
- Site system solution and products
- Batteries, 48-1500 VDC
- As System Engineer your responsibility includes:
- System architecture
- Product requirements
- Test requirements
- Certification strategy and documentation
- National requirements such as Grid compliance
- Interfaces
- Risk assessment
- Sales support
- System architecture
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of documented experience in the following areas:
- Development or management of hardware with a focus on energy storage and energy optimization systems.
- In-depth knowledge of functional and test requirements specific to energy optimization technologies.
- Familiarity with switchgear and power conversion, including adherence to grid code standards and regulations.
- Battery knowledge, including relevant standards and regulations.
- Good communication skills and convenient to manage external contacts.
- Highly driven, pro-active and enjoy fast growing corporate environment.
- Ability to comprehend and effectively express complex ideas in English.
- Willing to travel from time-to-time.
